On Wednesday 9th October One College hosted a singing day which was organised by the Pimlott Foundation – an Essex-based charity that supports talented young musicians in the local area. Two professional choral conductors came in to work with students from One College, Suffolk New Academy, St. Albans, East Bergholt High, Hadleigh High, Tendring Technology College and Thomas Laud Audley School, Colchester.
The students spent the day working on two pieces – Adiemus by Karl Jenkins and a medley of songs from Les Miserable. The students were also given a tour of the excellent music and music technology facilities we have at One. The day culminated in a performance of both pieces to a select audience in the performance space. Well done to all the students that took part in the day – over 150 voices!
