One Sixth Form College's Modern Foreign Language teachers (past & present) and A level students came together with teachers from Claydon, Westbourne, Debenham, Hadleigh, Chantry & Ormiston Endeavour to facilitate a very busy day of activities to improve pupil performance in GCSE Spanish, French & German speaking exams.
Around 100 pupils from 15 schools across the region attended, practising and improving their language skills via photocard, role play, general conversation and games in our college environment.
Snacks at break time and a hearty lunch of pizza and sides allowed all to maintain their stamina and fully enjoy the day.
As we waved off our visitors, many pupils summed up their experience as being really useful, highly motivating and felt their confidence levels had significantly improved. They also really liked the food!
This event just keeps growing, doubling in size from last year. As reflected in One Sixth Form College's A Level French & Spanish, the desire to learn foreign languages and experience different cultures is very strong in Suffolk.
