On Monday 7th December AS and A2 Music Technology students went over to UCS in Bury to work with their Music Production degree students and to gain experience of what life is like being an undergraduate on a music technology based course. Students got to work in their new state of the art recording studios and worked on creating their own mix of Queen's classic track 'Killer Queen' using a mixture of audio and MIDI tracks. Students got to grips with using Pro Tools software for the first time and had a fantastic day using the equipment at UCS and working with the lecturers on the course there. It was really great to see ex-students Ben Mason and Aidan Kitchen there and doing really well. Thanks to Andrea Healey and Gary Kelly for hosting the day.
The next event for the music team is the Winter Concert on Thursday 17th December at 7pm in the Performance Space. This will feature all of the main college ensembles as well as BTEC bands, acoustic items and rock bands. Tickets are available online from the One College Shop NOW!
