Art Teacher Emma Connolly is working on some great upcoming projects.
On Monday 10th October, she will be lecturing to European teachers in Colchester as part of an International Studies Programme. This programme takes place twice a year and is something Emma has been involved with for the last 5 years. As part of the lecture she discusses the British National Curriculum system for Art in schools and colleges and gives participants practical advice on delivering lessons.
On Thursday 13th October Emma will be hosting a visit for the European teachers to One to show them the day to day running of our college, giving them the opportunity to meet the students and staff and experience what art lessons are like here.
Emma has also been selected to join the Tate Gallery team for their Common Projects 2016-2017. She will be working with curators, artists and the gallery to create new educational opportunities and resources to be used within CPD sessions. This is a great privilege as they have only selected 10 teachers from around the country to take part!
