On 4th December four Biology students (Rosie Gault, Lottie Robinson, George Russell and Matt Lawrence) travelled to the Royal Society in London to present their project work at the society's student conference.

A total of 22 UK schools were invited to attend this event, with speakers including Nobel Prize winning scientists (Professor Venki Ramakrishnan OBE FRS) and TV presenters (Professor Jim Al-Khalili OBE FRS).

Rosie, Lottie, George and Matt showcased their project 'using thermography to investigate the effect of drought on two crop plants' and they can be seen in the photograph explaining their work to Professor James Hough OBE, a fellow of the Royal Society.

This was an amazing day of communicating, sharing and learning new science in a prestigious historical setting!
