Ipswich artist creates mural of Ed Sheeran ahead of homecoming gigs

A talented artist has created a perfect mural of Ed Sheeran in Ipswich.
It was recently unveiled and people can take photographs of themselves with the piece if they visit the Tower Street Food Hall near the bus station in Suffolk’s county town.
It forms part of Sheeran Art Trail that has been created in partnership with the restaurant (Tower Street Food Hall) and an organisation called ‘All About Ipswich’ ahead of Ed’s homecoming gigs that are taking place this weekend.
The work has been created by Narin Naseri, a level three UAL art student who studies at One Sixth Form College.
The Ipswich resident explains: “The manager at Tower St knew I did art and was confident in my skills to let me do this, even though I've never done a mural before.
“It took five days to create and I wanted to keep it colourful. The design consists of colourful aspects that match other significant parts of the building, so it didn't look so out of place.
“The 'all about Ipswich' website contacted my manager and now I am officially part of the Ed Sheeran trail.
“If I were to meet Ed, I would ask him what advice he would give to an aspiring artist - and how does he feel about his fame.
Narin has been asked to create a further piece in Tower St and hopes to make it as an artist in the future.
She added: “My goal is to get as much attention for my art as possible.”
Rhiannon Blackman is a teacher of art and design at One Sixth Form College: She said: “I think Narin will do amazingly well and I think she will go far (as an artist) - I’m very proud of her. I think it’s amazing that she has been chosen to be part of the Ed Sheeran art trail ahead of his homecoming gigs.”
