Today, May the Fourth (be with you), is a campaign known as Star Wars Day that champions one of the most successful film franchises that the world has ever seen.

The idea first started in 2011 in Toronto and One first embraced the day back in 2017.

This year, students and staff were encouraged to send in photos from home in support of the day and the best entrant will win a Star Wars book.

Activities were organised by the library.

The head of learning resources at One is Alison Baker. She said, “We have been supporting a variety of campaigns during the lockdown and we wanted to back Star Wars Day as it’s always fun to be involved. It’s been a nice distraction during these challenging times.”
