Today, 20 Humanities students had an enjoyable visit to Suffolk Archives, The Hold in Ipswich.
They experienced a range of activities including a tour of the exhibition from the curator with insight into the purpose & method behind her displays; a hands-on exploration of 19th & 20th century documents ranging from Ipswich gaol conviction records to a German WWII bomb map of Ipswich; a tour of the Hold itself where 900 years of Suffolk documents are archived & stored; and a careers & volunteering presentation on opportunities within the heritage and archive sector.
