Launched in 2015, the Harry Potter Book Night is a celebration of the work of J.K Rowling with the ultimate aim of encouraging more people to read.

One has backed the campaign and hosted a Potter themed quiz on Thursday 1st February 2018.

Seven teams entered and around 30 students and lots more staff answered questions based on the magic of this worldwide phenomenon.

Everyone who entered received a certificate of attendance and a Potter pencil whist the overall winners received a selection of Hogwarts themed prizes.

Alison Baker is the learning resources manager who organised the activities with her team. She said, "We got involved because it (Potter) appeals to people of all ages and it's nice to get students and staff together for a fun activity.

"We haven't been involved in the book night before. People have made a real effort. All in all – it's just nice to encourage reading in all its forms."
