Year 12 A-level PE, BTEC Sport and BTEC Sport & Exercise Science students were given a taster into university courses available at University of Suffolk. Lecturers provided taster sessions in Physiology, Performance Analysis, Strength & Conditioning and Physiotherapy, as well as an overview of entry requirements, degree structure and pathways after universities.

The high practical content was supported by the basics of undergraduate theory, helping students understand syllabus differences if they decide on a degree pathway.  A follow up visit to UoS in the autumn term of year 13 will explore each pathway in greater detail, using the excellent facilities at the Waterfront Campus, helping students decide on their next steps as their UCAS applications are prepared.

"A huge thank you to Dr Mikael Jamil for organising a truly engaging series of taster sessions, delivered by a fantastically knowledgeable team of university staff. The day will have offered an invaluable insight into degree pathways and careers after their time at One. Today was an invaluable insight for the students and phenomenal networking for both sets of academia staff." - Dave Robinson
