We recently had a group of A-level Chemistry students take part in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge.

This competition aims to stretch and challenge students interested in chemistry, and provides an excellent experience for anyone considering taking their studies further. Set by an experienced team of teachers and university chemists, it is designed to be accessible to Year 12 students but takes them significantly beyond the syllabus and encourages them to think about science in the way they would at university. The challenge takes the form of a 90 minute written paper.

We are extremely pleased and proud of two of our Chemistry A-level students who achieved highly in this Challenge (see photo):

  1. Samuel Toole achieved a Silver award.

  2. Jake Buck a very prestigious Gold award.

Congratulations to both of them.
