On Monday 14th March, 8 students from the Hotel Management course went to the Brudenell & White Lion Hotels in Aldeburgh. The purpose of the visit was directly linked to their work on Front Office Operations. The students were based in both hotels, and work shadowed in the Reception area. This enabled them to book a theoretical guest into the hotel, dealing with their personal requirements & room preferences. They also took bookings for evening meals & breakfast. This was all done onto the IT system in the Hotel, and from this they created customer profiles & billing information.
The activities they did, and the skills they gained will provide evidence for their assignment work, and was a great practical experience for the students.
