A host of local bands from Suffolk put on a one off gig to raise funds and awareness for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The event took place on Friday 17 May 2013 at Snobs Coffee Café.
Students from One, all studying music performance helped organise the evening. Ally Newbiggin one of the organisers, said, "We love what the Teenage Cancer Trust stands for and wanted to put on this evening in their honour. It's a serious subject and we are very serious about the cause”.
Music teacher Lois Hinsley, added, "Earlier in the year our learners put on a battle of the bands so they are getting a real taste for event management. Many of the students want to go on and work in the music industry arranging a charity gig on this scale will give them new skills that they can use when they leave us and start their careers."
The event raised almost £200 for the charity and was well attended by fellow students, parents and members of the public.
