On Tuesday 9th February, our P.E students were given a hardcore fitness session lead by two Royal Marines. The Marines had the students doing multiple rounds of press-ups, sit- ups, shuttle runs and other difficult exercises all in quick succession, whilst constantly motivating and encouraging them to work hard. The exercise was intended to give students a taster of the levels of fitness required to be a Marine. BTEC Sport student Kieran said that the activity helped him "realise what work outs in the army would be like" whilst Jess, also BTEC Sport, said that "some of the guys were thinking about joining the marines, and after this work out they're set on it! Many thanks too Corporal McCullough and MNE Barry for leading the session.
