On Saturday 19th October our Hotel Management students were tasked as an events team to organise a mobile kitchen at the Poplar Park Equestrian Centre. The equestrian event was attended by around a 100 riders and spectators so it was a challenge to ensure everyone were provided with hot drinks as the weather was not at its best! The events team coped very well and learnt a lot about good customer service techniques, good food hygiene and safety. The day was a great learning experience as it gave the students an opportunity to bond as a team and support each other’s strengths and weaknesses. The client was so impressed that they would like the students back again for another event.
