It’s been a busy few weeks for the Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Team.
On the 9th June Year 12 students attended a ‘Plan Your Future’ day where they listened to presentations which included Going to University, Apprenticeships and Employment, taking a Gap Year and Studying Abroad. During lunch students had an opportunity to visit over 30 stands in the atrium and talk to organisations about opportunities within their company. During lesson time in the afternoon representatives from various organisations were talking to students about their experiences, qualifications and transferable skills they had acquired in their working lives. This was an excellent opportunity for students to seek information, advice and guidance about their next step post One. During tutorials until the end of term students will explore their progression routes post One in depth including writing personal statements, university choices and CV’s.
Lorraine Cook and Julie Gatt were also invited to attend the WhatUni Awards evening at the Waldorf Hotel London where Clive James presented awards to universities in various categories as voted for by students. It was an opportunity to network with several universities whilst celebrating their achievements.
