Wednesday 28th November saw the launch of Suffolk One’s first Diversity Event, One Diversity. During a vibrant and dynamic lunchtime there were many stands and stalls and students had the opportunity to sample foods from around the world, communicate only in sign language, find out about and understand the meaning of partnerships, experience the challenges of Boccia, discuss issues surrounding religion and listen to our Samba Band…and this doesn’t cover everything! We were also fortunate also to have a live dance performance in the South Indian classical dance style ‘Bharat Natyam’ where both students and staff were captivated.
Michelle Hughes Assistant Principal-Inclusion and Progression said ‘There was a real buzz and it was great to see so many people getting involved. Our thanks go to our Suffolk Equality and Diversity group who helped to make the event such a success’.
