Our Graphic Communication students have been hard at work designing a new logo for Our Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. Students were invited to create a range of logos to support the college in promoting Moodle to students.
Laura Fields, Teacher of Graphic Communications said “The students enjoyed undertaking the whole process and it gave them an opportunity to work to a brief from a real life scenario for something which is so local to them”.
Over 400 votes were submitted and the lucky winner was Krystal Loh. Her winning logo, which is simple yet distinctive, gained over 60% of the total votes from students and staff at One.
Craig Martin, e-Learning Manager said “It is fantastic that such a wide range of logo design ideas were submitted and the students were so engaged. We are pleased that we have a distinctive winner, but we also have a variety of ‘themed’ logos which will be used at various times of the year, similar to what Google does to keep Moodle looking appealing and fresh to our students”.
