The BTEC Extended National Diploma in Sport group are studying a Unit this term entitled Practical Individual Sport. The group need to analyse two sports, badminton which is delivered on site and the other golf, which took place at Fynn Valley Golf Club.
The golf sessions were enjoyed by students and staff alike. The practical aspect of the course is not only popular for all levels of golfing ability, but also engages those who learn better in a kinaesthetic environment.
The sports team are now hoping to offer golf as a sport to compete in next academic year, alongside current teams at One including football, rugby, basketball and running.
Sean Liggett, one of the students who took part in the day said “I loved the chance to improve my golf skills, complete my assignment and enjoy a great day with my friends from the course”.
