A group of our Business, Accounting and Economics students have recently visited The City of London and the Bank of England to help provide them with knowledge of the functions of the key institutions in The City.
Starting at Guildhall Yard, students were given a guided walking tour of the square mile, which included Mansion House, Royal Exchange, Livery Companies, Lombard Street, Lloyds of London, before ending up at the Bank of England.
Having explored their museum, we were then treated to a presentation and talk at the Bank of England which focused on the history of the bank and the role that it now plays in today’s modern, global economy.
After the presentation, the group visited Covent Garden where they were able to watch the famous street performers whilst enjoying their lunch.
A great day was had by all, and our students were praised throughout for their interest, enthusiasm and the exemplary way that they represented One.
This has now become a popular annual trip for our BAE students and we greatly look forward to planning a similar visit next year.
