The Product Design students explored the creative world of contemporary design at the Design Museum in London. The museum hosted two exhibitions which gave our students the opportunity to have a fresh insight into the aspects of design practice today.
The first celebrating the vital role design plays in sport called ‘Design to Win’. It was a great way of demonstrating how design and sport are combined to create sports equipment that often looks aesthetically stylish but pushes the boundaries of material technology.
The second exhibition ‘Digital Crystal’ challenged the Product Design students to investigate the future of memory in the fast developing digital age. It was a more interactive approach on lighting and featured a mechanical chandelier and holographic tables.
